Château de Lis doesn’t need much help feeling like Europe. The stone archways, the fountain courtyard, the greenhouse with its sweeping glass ceiling and chandelier- it does the heavy lifting before a single floral arrangement is placed. Designing for a space like this means meeting it at its level, and that’s exactly what this evening called for. This was the grand opening of Château de Lis’ new glass arboretum, an event that brought together some of Oregon’s best wedding vendors to celebrate the venue in a way that felt worthy of it. I was honored to be among the creative partners behind the night, handling the signage and stationery throughout.

The vendor partner boards were one of my favorite pieces from this project: three tall panels with a soft botanical background, elegant serif type, and hand-lettered details. Nestled into a ground floral installation on the terrace with the greenhouse behind them, they felt like they belonged there completely. Signage that fits the room is always the goal, and this one landed exactly right.

Inside, the reception tables were dressed in forest green velvet with deep rust satin napkins and gold flatware, rich and intentional without being overdone. The “Bon Appétit” menus followed the same editorial direction: old master painting texture as the base, a white panel with script lettering on top, finished with a thin black grosgrain ribbon. Everything about this night was pure perfection!
