Kohl Mansion was the perfect source of inspiration for Michelle and Matt as they tied the knot in style at this hidden gem of a venue in Northern California. Moody and chic with accents of black and burgundy amongst all-white florals made for a stunning first impression and gave guests a taste of this couple’s fantastic style and the evening that awaited them.

The weekend kicked off with a welcome dinner in the bay area (more on that in a later post because those details deserve their own moment!) before flowing into Saturday’s wedding. Striking typography was a feature design element when I was working with Michelle and Matt and their fonts were bold while elegant, carried over from their invitations.

A favorite detail of the evening was custom velvet letterpress menus wrapped with belly band placecards. Luxe and thick- these menus became “the moment” at the tables and were the final touch to the old-world romantic style ballroom setting.

The evening was capped with a custom espresso martini bar featuring a glass bar stuffed with stunning florals and a glossy acrylic bar sign. The party continued on the dance floor with disco balls, a dress change and merriment that lasted late into the evening.
